September - Poker Failure

Well, I definitely did not come close to the hand target. I barely played at all month. However, it wasn't a complete lost cause. I got into sports betting a bit and got my bankroll up to $255 at one point. Now, I am back down to $227. Not bad though.

I am thinking about withdrawing the majority of the money for different expenses. But, I will play a little longer probably and withdraw soon after.

I need to re-read some Harrington books too. The long break in August without poker hurt me. I feel like I am playing good in cash games and tourneys. However, I keep just missing the money in weekly tourneys on Greeley. Time to study!

Poker Goals - September

These are my goals for September for online poker. My bankroll is back down to $177.47 after a minor hit the other day. I am playing on sportsbook.com if anyone is interested. I started with a $20 deposit and won the money fairly quickly. I have not played nearly enough. But now, I am going to buckle down and try to make some actual money here.

My main goal of playing online right now is to be able to buy a laptop. That is the main goal. If I can do that through poker than so be it. I'll take it any way I can get it. Anyways, on to the specifics...

I am playing .05/.10 cash games right now and occasionally I will play $5 sit-n-go tournaments. Even with $177, technically, I am playing outside of my bankroll. However, the games on SportsBook are ridiculously easy so it is okay.

Goals:
- Play 10k hands
- Move bankroll up to $300
- Increase sit-n-go play with ROI at 20
- Make new spreadsheet to track winnings/losings
- Multi-Table better

Changing Things Up

So, the new school year is about to begin and I feel like making some changes...major changes. I want to basically wipe the slate clean. I'm ready for school and I am going at it full force. However, there are some other things that need to be changed.

-For one, my job situation. I would like to start a new job come school time and keep for a long time so I can build up some money in my account.
-Then, I would like to be able to move out of my parent's house by the end of the school year. In that time, I would like to get my driver's license also.
-I am also setting specific goals for school also. I would like to make the Dean's List again for BOTH semesters and try to get a 4.0.
-My online poker career also has to move faster. I have done very well for the short period of time that I have played but the problem is...I don't play enough. This could be a crucial second source of income, which could become a main source.

Specific Goals for the next year(school year):
- Start a new job and keep it
- Look at apartment options
- Get Driver's License
- Dean's List
- Schedule my time better (school, poker, work)
- Work on mine and Josh's business plan
- Keep the blog updated
- Bring mondo invasion back
- Lose some weight/Be more healthy
- Devote more time to online poker
- Manage my money well


There are probably a lot more things I want to get accomplished but those are things that are crossing my mind right now. See, when you stay up all night like I do, it gives you time to think. However, too much thinking can become a bad thing. And I think it has become troublesome for me. So, it's time to start acting and stop thinking.

WOW - how crazy I just realized I wrote a post kind of similar to this exactly a year ago to the day. That is just unbelievable...I think I accomplished a lot of what I said there but this post will take it to the next level.

mondo invasion updates

I wanted to up date everyone a little bit on the state on mondo invasion. It has been kind of "dead" as of late. However, I am looking into revitalizing it somewhat. I want to go in a bit of a new direction with it. I mean, we have a website, we might as well use it. We have posted 5 videos on youtube which soon will be able to be viewed directly on the website. Most members on the group have been very busy causing very little to get accomplished.

These are some of the ideas I have been pondering for the website and the group as a whole. I want to expand mondo invasion to all forms of media, not just music. Specifically, I would like to get into online radio or podcasting to start. Alongside, we could broadcast live at a site called Justin.tv. Hopefully, we can get back to some music making as well. We will continue to make new videos for youtube and the site itself. I would like to make some sort of impact in the Buffalo area.

Here is a list of ideas/thoughts:
- New Music
- New Videos(comedy, music, etc.)
- Online Radio/Podcasts
- New Apparel
- Active forums on website
- Member Blogs
- More community input
- Personal mondo invasion e-mail addresses

For the online radio section, we could use some help from others that are interested. The more people we can get to help with the radio shows, the better. We then could afford better packages to broadcast. However, to start, we may just go with the simple podcast system.
